Hello & Welcome to The Financial Fuse.

I am Jessica Sin, a finance professional with experience in investment management and investment banking. Since young, I have been curious about financial markets and aspired to become a finance whiz inspired by Warren Buffett.

After graduating with an Economics degree (majoring in Finance) from Australia with full scholarship from the University of Queensland, I stepped into the investment management space by working for Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund. In my role as an investment analyst, I assessed potential investments in the technology space as well as managed a portfolio of businesses in consumer-related companies. I also worked for a venture capital firm with investments mainly in the fintech space. Thereafter, I became an investment banker in which I helped corporates raise funds and access equity capital markets via Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and secondary equity offerings.

Apart from the stock market, I also ventured into the cryptocurrency and FOREX space, and have conducted trading seminars that educate investors and traders on how to make better financial decisions using:
i) Fundamental analysis (to determine what assets to buy and when to buy/sell according to market cycles); and
ii) Technical analysis (to determine which prices to buy/sell assets). 

I also acquired experience in Malaysia’s real estate space, having offered consultancy services to people looking to buy properties for their own stay or investment. I am well versed in the Malaysian property laws as well and am able to conduct a comprehensive financial analysis to determine the investment potential of a property.

My mission for founding The Financial Fuse is to empower individual investors to take control of their own future and achieve their financial goals through accessible and comprehensive education. 

I see the way people around me spend their money simply without thinking about investing for their future, and they only regret when it is too late and uneventful circumstances occur.

I see people paying large amounts of fees annually to fund managers and sales person, because they don’t know how to invest but want to make money.

I see how people lose huge amounts because they fell for investment scams everywhere, because they don’t know how financial markets work and what is the right way to make money from investments.
